Services - VoIP - Termination

Termination services assume that the client already possesses, or wishes to procure, some form of VoIP infrastructure such as a SIP phone or IP PBX. The client is able to make unlimited calls between other VoIP devices via the Internet but will need a gateway to the PSTN world if they are to make outbound calls to traditional telephony users

The calls are initiated on the VoIP equipment and must be passed to a gateway that conforms to one or more of the more popular VoIP protocols. In order to terminate the call the VoIP user must be able to route their traffic to the IP address of our gateway and use an appropriate protocol in which to encapsulate the number called. We support the SIP, H323 and IAX protocols.

Alternatively, we can deliver E1/ISDN connectivity direct to the customer premises for connection to conventional PSTN equipment. In this case we would install the gateway equipment on site and organise an appropriate private circuit to carry the traffic.

The Syntec gateway is able to deal effectively with the many variants which exist between different implementations of the same protocols. As the calls are being made in the outward direction into the PSTN, it also retains full records (Call Detail Records, CDR) of the calls handled. Call details and statistics are readily available for billing and management purposes via a convenient web interface.

The gateway can route and manage IP only traffic between multiple locations and users as well as route PSTN traffic via the most cost-effective routes. Customers are not charged for calls that are On-Net with Syntec and can therefore keep their inter-office and home-worker call costs to an absolute minimum. Syntec LCR (least cost routing tariffs) is highly competitive and offer low-cost calls locally and internationally. We utilise multiple inter-connects to other carriers and offer high-quality and high capacity trunks.
